Principal Message

Lake Louise Principal Travis Holmgren

Lake Louise Families,

Each morning during our school wide meeting and class line up, we re-emphasize the beliefs of all Lake Louise students and staff! This school cheer helps to energize us towards learning and gets us ready for a great school day: “We are Lake Louise Cougars. We are respectful, responsible and ready to learn. We are kind, caring towards others and work hard every day to reach our goals. I am proud to be a Cougar! Let me see your Cougar paws, let me see your Cougar claws! Go Cougars!” Our students are outstanding and capable of high levels of learning each and every day!

November is almost here and the weather is getting much colder! Please be sure that your student has a heavier jacket and shoes to help them stay warm during the Fall and Winter.

Parent / teacher conferences are in early November (Nov. 6 – 8) during the afternoons and early evenings. Each of these days will be early release days at Lunch so please prepare for this time. During conferences, teachers and staff will have the opportunity to share with parents student strengths and areas of concern as well as listen to ideas and strategies to help our students do their best! Use this as a time to ask questions and to form a collaborative learning path to students success!

Watch DOGS started on Oct. 10th at a fun Kick Off event in the gym. We had a large number of interested dads, uncles, grandpas, cousins and friends attend. If you would like to be a part of this program to support students and learning, please contact Mrs. Austin at (253) 583 – 5310!

Veteran’s Day Assemblies – Lake Louise will host two Veteran’s Day Assemblies this year to honor the service men and women of our country. The assemblies will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 9:00 – 9:30 and from 9:45 – 10:15. The first assembly will be for K-2 and the second for grades 3 – 5.

Attendance is a critical factor in student success over time in school. Please aim to have your student on time each and every day for the full day. If you student is out, please provide a note or call (253) 583-5311 to let us know the circumstances surrounding the absence.

Thanks for the continued partnership in serving our students each and every day at Lake Louise!
